This is an introductory training on industrial hemp with a strong technical component associated with a historical survey of this culture collections. The structure of the training is geared to prepare participants to take a technically rigorous production and market perspective for the various raw materials produced.

The goal is to empower farmers and future entrepreneurs of the agro-environmental sector for hemp cultivation and other "stakeholders"Interested in their applications to develop skills on this culture.

Map the future producers of hemp in Portugal, creating a meeting place and sharing of knowledge around this culture.

Trainers | David Alfonso and Francisco Amaral

afonsoAfonso David, up until 2009, He was the author of the blog (however ended) canhamopt.blogspot.pt. It was a researcher at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa hemp culture under the Master in Eng. ecological, with particular emphasis on the phytoremediation of contaminated soils.
Maintains an activity as a farmer who complemented with ecological construction work, where hemp is an asset.
It has supported hundreds of people with information about hemp in recent 10 years and now see fulfilled conditions to definitely re-introduce this crop in national agricultural landscapes.

Francisco Amaral is Co-Founder and Producer in micro-enterprise 7 sisters, inc., membro da European Industrial Hemp Association (be tolerant). After the academic training in Environmental Engineering (2009) pelo IS, Technical University of Lisbon, It was student of Permaculture and traveled the world studying different bioregions, communities, cultures and alternative systems. From 2014 a 2017 It was medical cannabis producer in Northern California. Since 2017 that endeavor to the stimulus, development and growth of hemp-growing in Portugal.
